New iMac has Montevina?

The new iMac has faster Penryn processors, new video card, and more standard RAM, but, is there even more?

Intel sometimes groups their technologies together with a name, like Santa Rosa, or Centrino. They ususally group the processors, chipset, etc together with this name. Now, the macbook and macbook pro has the new Penryn processors, but have the Santa Rosa chipset. Montevina is supposed to be released sometime in June.

The main difference between Santa Rosa and Montevina is that Montevina has a faster front-side bus speed, and consumes less power.

The new iMac has that faster front-side bus, but doesn't consume less power. But the power issue doesn't really concern the iMac, since it's not a laptop.

i think the Santa Rosa is 800 mhz, while the Montevina is 1066 mhz

i'm not sure about the macbooks, since it's not out for them until June
