My "new" iBook G4

After my mini died, I needed a replacement. Long story short, I found a good deal on an iBook, and well, here it is! I hope this thing will last me a long time, I'm very proud of it.

very nice. The iBook is one of apple's computers that I never had. I'm sure it will you a good while.

Just curious, but what happened to the mini?

Heh, tried to upgrade the RAM, and while opening the case, accidentaly pryed something off the logic board, hasn't worked since.

wow. i'm sorry to hear that. i'm assuming it's a G4 mini. i had one, and i upgraded the RAM myself also.

do you still have it? plan to try and fix it?

i see it's not a G4. i bet you could get at least a little money for it (if you haven't sold it already)

have you talked to anyone about fixing it? or have you tried to fix it? what happens when you try to turn it on?

Absolutely nothing happens when I try to turn it on. (Well, the little power light on the front comes on for exactly 5 seconds, then goes off.)

As far as fixing it goes, maybe one day one I have the money. At the time, all I had was $500, and using an iBook G3 for a month will really kill you, so I needed a Mac, and the iBook G4 was the best deal around for the specs.
